My father passed on his musical talent to me as I became a big kid. He had me listening to classic rock, smooth jazz, and 80's hits. I was all about the toy keyboards as I grew up. Every Christmas and birthday, I would ask for equipment to build up my studio, starting with a mixer, to getting an analog CD burner. I was so used to producing instrumentals from my two Yamaha keyboards on cassette tapes, but when the CD burner came, I started the "Tutorial" project in 2003 and finalized the album in 2005. Tutorial contains instrumentals, along with some vocal songs and interludes that take the listener through an audio adventure.

The self-titled album came in 2006 with more of my vocals being used; the song "Mother Thumper" became a hit among the locals. "Ohms" followed in 2008, being the first album produced using ACID. That was also the same year that I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. That decision not only changed my life - it also blessed me with more power for my future music.

I felt eager to throw out a new album, but I didn't want to enter the project with leftovers. So I took a break from original music and entered the FiXT Remix Competition. I not only got to experiment with my software more, but I networked with really talented people. Thank you FiXT Family for adopting me as a brother. I am much obliged to be here!

Career Defining Moment:
Starting from earlier times, I assisted Tankcoast Projects, an indie film group, with music and other tasks. I always wanted to be a game designer in middle school. My 1st Prize award in the JJC Game Design Competition expressed my ambition to develop games. Also, FiXT Remix has encouraged me to continue music, and possibly become a soundtrack person for a game design project one day.

Inspired by:
Jesus Christ - my Lord & Savior, Klayton, Christian radio, interactive video games, Final Fantasy, my father (Henry Nicola), Joseph "Violent J" Bruce, BT, Anime, Sonic The Hedgehog, etc.

Currently Listening To:
I open my ears to plenty of FiXT artists, Julien-K, Linkin Park, Casting Crowns, Twiztid, Demon Hunter, Kanye West, Brokencyde, Monody, Nobou Ubematsu, Rammstien, Kevin Rudolf, Korn, Red, Family Force 5, The Who, The Roots, Pillar, Third Day, tobyMac, etc.

Collaboration Wish List:
- do a media project with Square Enix
- have Klayton or Bret Stahli remix one of my original songs
- feature Kanye West in a track
- work with an orchestra to do a movie soundtrack
- possibly work with Martin Harp on some music
- most of all, I'd like to do a song with Casting Crowns.

Dream Project:
I always wanted to make a DVD set of my missionary adventures around the world, strengthening myself and others across seas as I share the gospel. I think it would be a powerful movie.

Final Word:
The Radical Surge does not stop at Ohms! I'm in the works of a new album. But for now, I hope you Cellmates and FiXTers enjoy my previous works and some of my contributed remixes to this site! Also, check out my "Fail Fantasy" AMV group at www.youtube.com/FF7ProductionTeam! May God's glory reign forever and ever! Amen.
